Cambridge United will make the 266 mile round trip to face Steve Evans' Rotherham. The U's coming off a great 3-2 victory against Mansfield at the Cledara Abbey Stadium following goals from Morrison, Stokes and Loft. The U's are likely to be without Marosi and Rossi following their injuries on Saturday. However, with the additions to the squad with Esapa Osong on loan from Nottingham Forrest and Dom Ballard on loan from Southampton could help provide a threat when going forward. Garry Monk was certainly pleased with his sides result on Saturday despite calling it a "difficult win". None the less the U's will aim to make it 3 consecutive games without a loss come Tuesday night.
As for the Millers they are coming off a 4-2 away loss to Burton Albion in which Steve Evans noted that his team "were second to the ball far too often" and "didn't create overloads". They will be wanting to display an improved performance against another team battling for the fight to stay in League One. Although Evans has criticised his teams performance on Saturday is still positive going into the midweek game against struggling Cambridge United. Although league position may favour the home side Evans still praised the U's on their recent performances describing it as "stunning"
A win for the U's could see them 3 points off safety with a game in hand. All that being said if Bolton beat Northampton at home and Reading beat Burton Albion away from home. Regardless of the up hill battle that is to stay up Garry Monk and his players will be solely focused on their next task at hand.
