Following Cambridge United's promotion to League One at the first time of asking, 8 players have been released by the club for varying reasons. The U's simply had to better to match the results of the Notts County and Salford games. Notts County went 1-0 up at home to Bristol Rovers, however Rovers drew level in the 2nd half. With one result going in United's way, all focus then switched to Crawley vs Salford.
