Harris feels "muggedoff.com" as Huddersfield take all three points

The U's were much the better side against a strong Huddersfield side on Saturday, however it didn't mean anything as refereeing mistakes cost United all three points. After going 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go, it all went downhill for the U's. A foul on Kaikai wasn't given, maybe to even things up after Huddersfield appealed the United goal, and in a matter of seconds Huddersfield were level. If things couldn't have gone worse, in the 90th minute Dom Ball cheaply lost possession and a beautiful Liam Bennett challenge saw the ball go behind for a corner. However, referee Harrison Blair gave a penalty. Not only was it not a penalty, but the tackle was outside the box. Joe Taylor scored from the spot, and that was all the game wrote.

Positives to take from the 2-1 loss

All three debutants looked crucial in the opening goal of the game. Cathal Heffernan won 63% of his duels, including 71% in the air. Heffernan slotted into the strong United backline and looks to be a great replacement for Jobe following his departure to Stockport. Bangura-Williams got the assist for Bradshaw's goal with a clever cutback to find the left wing-back in space on the edge of the box. The former Tooting & Mitcham midfielder impressed during his 15-minute cameo. Owen Moxon looked to be a creative, solid midfielder, completing 78% of his passes and creating 0.12 xg for his teammates. A solid debut to be proud of, but ultimately it was just short of all three points.

Neil Harris didn't shy away when speaking to the press and openly admitted to feeling "mugged off, muggedoff.com". The Cambridge United manager told BBC Cambridgeshire Radio, "It's unprofessional, you don't go one nil up at home and absolutely cruise in the game and be dominating chances.. you can't throw it away when you are 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go".
