In Jobe's press conference, he called upon his fellow defenders to be 'on it' in what is a huge game with 2 sides with promotion ambition. 3 clean sheets in a row for the greatest defensive unit in the league this season was 'massive' and Jobe made it clear that it was a goal going into every game.
Harris has turned this side around and built a 'tight nit group' according to the centre back. Without a shadow of a doubt that has led to fantastic defensive record that is one of the best in England. Jobe spoke highly about the training regime, mentioning they look at opposition clips after each session. Jobe also compared that to the mentality on game day 'When you cross that white line you're basically going to war'. This juxtaposition of calm and upbeat training to then having tunnel vision on the task on gameday has led the U's to 3rd in the table and climbing.
On a personal note, Jobe hoped to play '25 games in all competitions' which he has smashed and then some. After registering his 50th club appearance last time out, he has cemented himself as a starting centre back with interest surely coming from the leagues above.
